It took me a long time to figure out what I wanted to do with my life and what career choice to make. When I first graduated from highschool I had no idea what I wanted to do and I went down several paths following different passions and trying new things. I have spent the past few years going to school, traveling, enjoying nature and making memories with my friends and family. I have learned that spending time outside, making meaningful connections and being of service to the people around me bring me the most joy. Now I am 27 years old, living in Vancouver, BC, and for the first time I know what I want. My passion for nature, reducing my waste, and advocating against pollution is something that fuels me and makes me feel like I have a purpose. My love for people, reducing harm and helping others motivates me to learn and connect with others to share their voice. I found a policy studies undergraduate program at KPU and I started to learn about sustainability and how important it is for environmental protection and to improve the societies we live in. I have come to learn that life is about chasing your dreams and fighting for what you believe in. Our planet matters and I can’t wait to build a life that supports my vision of holistic sustainability.
